Paid but still locked

The code contract is active in the paid test RC, but this source article does not prove that a public entitlement service or live sale is deployed.

You purchased continued recovery, but Snapattic still shows the configured preview limit.

First: use the Gmail account you purchased for

A purchase is tied to one canonical Gmail account. Gmail dots, +tags, letter case, and googlemail.com are canonicalized for licensing, so A.B+oldtag@googlemail.com and ab@gmail.com refer to the same purchase. A genuinely different Gmail account is a separate purchase.

Restore without running another free scan

Choose Restore purchase from account entry or the completion/licence controls, enter the Gmail address used for the purchase, and allow a short connection to the licensing service. A free scan is not required first. A successful verification stores a new local token for that account; tokens are never shown or logged.

If checkout has only just completed, use the in-app purchase check again after Stripe has processed it. Ensure the app is online for restoration and that the Gmail address is the one used for purchase.

If a friend Promotion Code made Checkout zero-total, the same steps apply: an approved voucher grants the same account-bound entitlement as payment. Do not paste the code into Snapattic or send it to support.

Reinstalled, cleared data, or using another device

Those cases have no local cached token, so restoration requires the server:

  1. Enter the purchased Gmail address.
  2. Choose Restore purchase.
  3. If the server reports entitled, continue recovery without another purchase or preview run.

If restoration says not found

A not found result means the service has no active restoration entitlement for that canonical account. Do not buy again immediately. Check the Gmail address and receipt, then contact support with the minimum necessary purchase reference.

If the purchase was refunded, the server-side restoration entitlement is revoked. Reinstalling or restoring on another device then correctly fails. A device that already has a valid cached token may still work offline until normal token expiry; a refund does not remotely remove that cache. See Refunds and purchase restoration.

Keep credentials private

Never send a Gmail app password, recovered photo, local path, or licence token to support. Card details and friend Promotion Codes are handled by Stripe. Do not send a Checkout URL or voucher value.

If the local licence was removed

Remove licence from this Mac deletes only the cached token after confirmation. It does not secure or revoke Gmail, cancel the purchase, or change the server record. Use Restore purchase to request a fresh local token for the same canonical account.
