Not enough disk space

What happened, what it means, and what to do next.

What to do

  1. Free up space on the destination disk (by default, your Pictures folder).
  2. Choose Retry recovery. If you closed Snapattic, reopen it and choose Continue recovery.

Good to know

  • No partial or broken files are left behind — a photo is only moved into place once it is fully downloaded and verified, so you never get half a photo.
  • Your recovery progress is saved. Resuming continues from your last checkpoint and skips photos you already have, so you never get duplicates.
  • If your Pictures folder is on an external drive, make sure the drive is connected.

Wrong folder?

If the destination isn’t writable, see Storage access.
