Enable IMAP

IMAP is turned off for your account, so Snapattic cannot read your attachments.

What to do

1. Open Gmail on the web → Settings (gear) → See all settings → Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
2. Under IMAP access, choose Enable IMAP.
3. Click Save Changes.
4. Reconnect in Snapattic.

Why we need IMAP

Snapattic reads attachments over a private, direct IMAP connection to your computer. It is read-only: it can list and read messages, but never modify, move, flag, or delete them. Your photos and email content never leave your machine.

If IMAP won’t stay on

Some work/school (Google Workspace) accounts disable IMAP by policy. In that case, see Account type blocked.
