Some attachments were skipped

A few attachments were damaged or incomplete and could not be saved. The scan continued with the rest.

What this means

• Most photos recover fine. A small number of attachments in any large archive are corrupt on the server side (truncated emails, damaged encodings from years ago).
• Snapattic verifies every file by its actual content, not just its name, so a mismatched or broken file is skipped rather than saved as a broken photo.

What to do

• Usually nothing — these attachments are genuinely unrecoverable.
• If a specific photo matters, try forwarding that original email to yourself and scan again; re-delivery sometimes repairs a broken attachment.

Transient failures

If a download dropped due to a brief connection hiccup, Snapattic retries it automatically. If an attachment still fails after those retries, it is a network/resume problem rather than a corrupt attachment: the affected message remains eligible for a later run and recovery does not advance past it. Reconnect and resume instead of assuming the photo was skipped.
